In total there are 8 kinds of geneioforos Dragon. But throughout history when reptiles were discovered, great controversy and confusion arose. As a result, there are many different common names for certain kinds of Lair and in some cases even exhibit a variant as well as their scientific name. To complicate matters further, some people recognize only 6 species and subspecies of 2. While I could go into more detail about the history of the discovery geneioforos Dragon, I thought that it would bring confusion arising for your attention and you will be redirected to the important facts about each item.
Geneioforos dragons were named because of the beard that display when you feel threatened. The first species discovered was the Eastern beardie (pogona barbata). You may have noticed the scientific name for Eastern beardie is barbata. Can guess why? Good derives from the word barbate Barber. I believe that the scientist who made the discovery, although he had a shave! These lizards grow only on two feet in length, making it one of the largest geneioforos dragons. These can be found along the East coast of Australia, in various areas including open woodlands and dry scrublands. Unfortunately, these dragons are prone to damage from human contact, such as love to bask in the streets for warmth. This can be very dangerous!
Now if you are looking for a dragon to comply, in all likelihood be gasping inland waterway geneioforos Dragon (pogona vitticeps), as is the most popular and readily available in the pet trade. It is also known as the Central geneioforos Dragon because they live in the Centre of Australia. These children are also the largest of all geneioforos dragons, more and more two feet in length. They live in desert areas, dry forests and scrublands.
Nullabor dragon (pogona nullabor), a kind of beardie, is only found in Australia and therefore is not available overseas. This Dragon is a relatively small, reaching only 8-10 cm in length and are obviously in plain, nullabor, South and Western Australia, hence the scientific name. These are unique because of the beardies white zones extending along the back.
Other types of small Habitat in which the name is Dragon Beard dual sanctuary River (pogona microlepidota). It is the National Park of the River dual sanctuary home to these spectacular lizards. This is literally the only place they can be found, as it is not available to any other counties. So if you want to see these Dragons, you can make a journey within.
While these can be found abroad, reduced in number, since it is difficult to develop and Lawson beard Dragons are also members of the Clan beardie. That increase in length of 10 inches and can be found in the plains of Central Australia, a Habitat which is very hot and dry.
Now I think this would be the next smaller beardie in the game, but paradoxically this is not the case. You can find the Beardie dwarf (pogona minor) about East of Western Australia and parts of South Australia and Northern Territory. That rises to 8-10 inches and is similar in appearance to the Western Beardie.
This is one of the beardies which can be classified as a subspecies of the dwarf bearded Dragon. Western bearded Dragon (pogona minima) can be found outside and grow to 20 centimeters in length. Called the Western beardie because you are mostly found in Southwest Australia, inhabiting coastal dunes and dense forest.
The Mitchell Dragon (pogona mitchelli) is native to Western Australia in dry forests and desertification. They grow to about 8 centimeters in length and can not be found abroad. Therefore, these fantastic dragons are not available in the pet trade.
